About Our Community

The Bahá'í community of Charleston, WV is a diverse group of individuals and families united by a shared belief in the oneness of humanity and a commitment to building a better world together.

Our community reflects the diversity of Charleston itself — people of all races, backgrounds, and ages coming together as one. What brings us together is a shared vision: that humanity is one family, and that each of us can contribute to a more just and unified society. Whether you've been a Bahá'í for decades or have never heard of the Faith before, you're welcome here.

What We Do

Our community gathers regularly for:

  • Devotional gatherings — Open to all, these informal gatherings bring people together for prayer, reflection, and meaningful conversation

  • Study circles — Small group courses exploring spiritual themes and how to apply them to daily life and service to others

  • Children's classes — Nurturing the spiritual development of young hearts through stories, songs, and creative activities

  • Holy day celebrations — Commemorating significant events in Bahá'í history with prayer, music, and fellowship

  • Service projects — Working alongside our neighbors to contribute to the well-being of Charleston

Our Home

We're fortunate to have a dedicated Bahá'í Community Center located at 166 Sunset Drive in Charleston. It's a place for gathering, learning, and fellowship — and everyone is welcome.
