The Peace Rose has a remarkable history; after surviving WWII it was introduced in the United States on April 29th, the day Berlin fell to Allied forces and later immortalized it fame when presented as a gift to each of the 50 delegates gathered in San Francisco for the charter meeting of the United Nations with the message:

"We hope the 'Peace' rose will influence men’s thoughts for everlasting world peace".

Originally, the rose was marketed in Germany as... Gloria Dei, The Glory of God.
